CHALLENGER is recruiting participants for its 9th edition!

CHALLENGER is a one-year program dedicated to young people aged between 18 and 35 working in various fields. The program prepares young people to critically analyze society's problems, to propose and debate solutions for the problems they face.

The program will take place in three stages:

  • Identification of priority problems in the community;
  • Developing and debating solutions;
  • Consultation and negotiation of proposed strategies.

During all stages, the teams are guided by a mentor.

Currently, Challenger counts eight editions of the program in Romanian and one in Russian, hundreds of graduates of the "Challenger" School of Critical Thinking and over a hundred young people - active members of the Challenger Plus community, who are active in different fields: institutions of the state, international organizations, NGOs and business. Moreover, the graduates of the program have already founded 4 successful organizations: Primăria Mea, De Facto, Guvernul Meu, Comunitatea Plus.

Who can apply?

Students and young professionals, aged between 18 and 35, with or without experience in such programs. Candidates can represent any field of professional activity: politics, business, science or art. However, they must demonstrate leadership qualities, desire professional and personal growth and gain new knowledge.

Those wishing to participate in the program are encouraged to complete the application form by January 25. The CHALLENGER program is organized by the National Democratic Institute in the USA, the representative office in Moldova. NDI is a non-governmental, non-politically affiliated and non-profit organization that, for more than three decades, supports democratic institutions and practices around the world. Since 2003, in Moldova, the NDI program has contributed to the promotion of governance accountability by increasing citizens' participation in political processes and community life.
